Modi, who arrived here after hoisting the saffron national flag over the Ram temple in Ayodhya, also released a special coin and a commemorative postage stamp to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur at the event. Addressing the gathering, Modi said that today is a wonderful confluence of heritage.

‘Panchjanya’ memorial also unveiled

He said that in the morning he was in Ayodhya, the ‘city of Ramayana’ and now he is in the land of Lord Krishna. He said that when the Supreme Court’s decision on Ram Temple came on November 9, 2019, he had gone to Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab for the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor. He said that I was praying that the path for the construction of Ram temple should be paved and the aspirations of all Ram devotees should be fulfilled. He said that and that day our prayers were accepted because the decision came in favor of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Modi said that today he again got the opportunity to take blessings from ‘Sikh Sangat’. The Prime Minister also unveiled the newly constructed ‘Panchjanya’ memorial dedicated to the conch of Lord Krishna at Jyotisar here.

Modi participated in Maha Aarti

Lord Krishna had said on this land of Kurukshetra that protecting truth and justice is the greatest religion. He had said, “Swadharme nidhanam shreyah”, meaning it is best to sacrifice one’s life for the truth. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur considered protection of truth, justice and faith as his religion and sacrificed his life for it. He said that the government will continue to serve the “Guru tradition” in the same manner. Modi also visited the ‘Mahabharat Anubhav Kendra’, an immersive experiential centre. Important incidents of Mahabharata have been depicted here. Haryana Governor Asim Kumar Ghosh and Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini were also present on this occasion. After this, Modi paid homage in a religious program organized to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. On this occasion, 350 children presented Shabad Kirtan of Gurbani. A special display of sand art was also organized on this occasion. Modi also participated in the Maha Aarti organized at the holy Brahma Sarovar in the International Geeta Mahotsav.
