Hunger took 48 lives in Gaza, attacked the crowd for ration!

Gaza Attack: Humanitarian crisis in Gaza is deepening day by day. In an attempt to get food, people know that the situation has now turned into a crisis of existence, not only political or military. Dozens of injured in stampede and firing at Zikim crossing.

Gaza Attack: In the Gaza Strip, people struggling with hunger once again looked at violence. On Wednesday, at least 48 Palestinians were killed in firing on people gathered in search of food at Zikim Crossing, while dozens were injured. The incident took place when the US Middle-Eastern messenger Steve Witchoff is leaving for Israel, where he will hold important talks about the Gaza crisis.

There was chaos at Zikim Crossing

According to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the dead and injured were brought from Zikim Crossing, the main humanitarian aid entry point for North Gaza. At the time of the incident, hundreds of people were present there in the hope of food. Who did firing is not clear. The Israeli army has not made any statement yet. In the video of the incident, the injured people were taken from wooden vehicles and the remaining people were seen picking up flour sacks.

Hunger took life

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, till Wednesday morning a total of 46 people were killed in air strikes and firing, while malnutrition lost seven others, including one child. According to the ministry, so far 89 children and 65 adults have died of starvation.

Israel claims

The Israeli army has repeatedly claimed that it only targets Hamas terrorists and holds Hamas responsible for the death of ordinary citizens, as it operates from crowded areas. Israel has dismissed any claim of starvation and said that this ceasefire weakens efforts.

Dislocated human assistance

Although Israel had recently announced some relief measures, there has not been much difference in the situation on the ground. On Tuesday, 220 trucks entered Gaza, while according to UN agencies, 500 to 600 trucks are needed daily. The UN is still unable to distribute the help in limited quantity safely, as most zones are under Israeli military control.

GHF’s help system is also in the grip of violence

The alternative relief system being run through Israel-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) was also not untouched by violence. Since May, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in an attempt to get help near GHF. The Israeli army says it opened fire only to warn, while according to GHF, they used only paper sprays or warning shots to control the crowd.

Hamas attack, more than 60,000 deaths

On 7 October 2023, 1,200 people were killed and 251 hostage were held in Hamas attack. In return, more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in the aggressive military action that Israel started. This count of Gaza Health Ministry does not differentiate between citizens and terrorists, but international institutions currently consider it a reliable source.

Humanitarian crisis in Gaza is deepening day by day. In an attempt to get food, people know that the situation has now turned into a crisis of existence, not only political or military. Despite the international interference, the pace of change in the ground situation is slow, and the deaths of the innocent will continue till the effective ceasefire and permanent relief system is formed.
