Former England veteran Steve Hormison has said that Team India should feed spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the next match. Please tell that Kuldeep has not got a chance in the series yet.
Steve Harmison is Culdeep Yadav: Former England fast bowler Steve Hormison believes that India should seriously consider the inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in its playing XI for the fourth Test. Steve Hormison also admitted that the inclusion of spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the balanced team can create some problem in selection. Hormison said that the spin is expected to get help on Old Trafford’s pitch. Hermison said that India may have to take a bold decision for playing or not playing with three spinners against England in the fourth Test starting on Wednesday. However, if Team India decides to play with two spinners and include Kuldeep, it will have to pay the price of one of the Washington Sundar or Ravindra Jadeja, who has done well in the series.
‘Pitch will help spin’
On Jio Hotstar, Harmison said, “The wicket of the fourth Test will not bounce Kuldeep, but as the match progresses, it will spin. The last three Tests have gone up to the fifth day, so India will have to consider the second or third spinner seriously. At the moment, his team is balanced. But the challenge is to find a way to bring Kuldeep Yadav. Can you feed three spinners, especially looking at the position of Jasprit Bumrah, but how will you have to take a difficult decision in the team.
‘Rain will disrupt’
England are 2–1 in the five-match series before the fourth Test starting on Wednesday. Hormison hopes that Old Trafford’s circumstances will be similar to Edgbaston and Lords – low score, speed and bounce. Hormison said, “If it is going to rain somewhere in England, and it has not rained for about three months, it will be in Manchester. If there is a place where you can consider playing with two or three spinners, it is Manchester.” Hormison hopes that India will consider the spin option, but he said that England is less likely to do so.
