Ingredients for making garlic chutney

  • dried red chilli
  • garlic cloves
  • mustard oil
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • dry mango powder

How to make Garlic Chutney

To make garlic chutney, soak dry red chillies in water for about 3-4 hours. But if you are short of time then you can soak chillies in hot water. When the chillies become soft, add soaked red chillies and garlic cloves in the mixer and grind them coarsely. After this, heat mustard oil in a pan and add cumin seeds in it. When cumin seeds become golden, then add red chili and thick garlic paste to it. Now you have to cook this chutney on low flame. When the chutney starts releasing oil, then you have to add salt and dry mango powder to it. Now turn off the gas and let the chutney cool down. You can serve garlic chutney with roti, paratha or dal and rice.
