Delhi Police action: Delhi Police has busted an illegal weapon factory by crossing about three kilometers of water filled with water near the Yamuna River in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The field was filled with water up to 8 feet. A police officer said on Saturday that Shiv Charan (60), a resident of Mathura, was arrested in the operation. A large stock of illegal firearms and raw materials was recovered within 10 days of similar recovery in Aligarh. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Bantia said that the factory was located near the Yamuna River in Anearda Garhi village of Mathura. To reach the site, the team had to cross about 3 kilometers of water filled fields, where there was a water of about 3 to 8 feet. It took the team about two hours to reach the spot.

Huge amount of weapon recovered

The official said that despite the submerged area, lack of lights and mobile communication problems, the team recovered the weapons and arrested the accused. The accused tried to escape by taking advantage of the fields filled with water, but the team caught him. Police said that the accused Charan used to have two dangerous dogs near the factory’s site to prevent outsiders from entering the area. During interrogation, Charan revealed that he had first assisted his partner Hanveer. He was arrested a few days ago in Aligarh. Hanveer later started another unit, while Charan continued to run the factory in Mathura on his own. Police said that weapons were manufactured and supplied through Hanveer. Officials said that other machines including drill machines, cutters, grinders and saws used in weapon manufacture were also seized.

Four arrested in drug trafficking

On the other hand, Delhi Police said on Saturday that four people have been arrested in South Delhi on charges of supplying Marijuana from Bihar through courier parcel in the capital. A senior police officer said that 51 kg marijuana was recovered from Ravi Roshan (22), Dhirendra Singh (20), Ravi Kumar (19) and Dina Nath (22). Police had gathered intelligence about drug trafficking activities in South Delhi. Acting on a secret information on 8 September, a trap was laid on the road to Sheikh Sarai near Satpula Lake in Saket. The officer said that the police stopped an auto-rickshaw at around 4.30 pm and arrested Ravi Roshan and Dhirendra Singh sitting in it. Also, a packet full of 25.896 kg marijuana was also recovered from the three -wheeler.
