India’s Action on Pakistan: The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has once again increased tension in India-Pakistan relations. Terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba took responsibility for this attack.
India’s Action On Pakistan: After the Pahalgam terror attack, India is continuously doing a digital and economic strike on Pakistan one after the other. After banning the social media accounts of many cricketers, film stars, journalists, government institutions, and leaders of Pakistan in India, India has now banned the X accounts of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in India. Along with this, the X account of Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar has also been banned.
India’s strict stand after the Pahalgam attack
The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has once again increased tension in India-Pakistan relations. The responsibility of this attack was taken by terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, after which India accused Pakistan of promoting terrorism. According to sources, the Government of India decided to block the X accounts of Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto because the statements and posts of these leaders were considered to be inflammatory and national security against India.
Why was this decision taken?
The Government of India has increased strictness against those who spread inflammatory and misinformation on social media in recent times. The statements of Pakistani leaders active on platforms like X were considered to be a medium to spread unrest in India and increase stress. In particular, Imran Khan, who is the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Bilawal Bhutto, who is the head of PPP, has been making sharp comments against India in recent months.
Pakistan’s response
Pakistan has strongly condemned India’s move. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has called it an “attack on freedom of expression”. However, India clarified that this decision has been taken completely from the internal security point of view and its purpose is to maintain peace and stability in the country.
Discussion on social media
Mixed reactions are being seen on this decision on X. While some Indian users have appreciated the government’s move, some have called it an attack on freedom of expression. One user wrote, “India took the right step. The inflammatory statements of Pakistani leaders can spread unrest in the country.” At the same time, another user raised the question, “Is this step really necessary? This will increase tension between the two countries.”
