Indore News: A famous businessman resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh died of suffocation, while his daughter suffered serious burns. Police officer said that a fire broke out in a three-storey commercial cum residential building in Indore in the early hours of Thursday, due to which the car showroom owner died of suffocation. Police officer said that the daughter of deceased Pravesh Aggarwal has been seriously burnt. The daughter is also a Congress leader. It is said that after the fire, the family’s penthouse located in the building was filled with smoke all around. Police Inspector Neetu Singh said that the fire broke out in the building of Lasudia police station area at around 5 in the morning.
Fire from the lamp burning in the temple of the house
He said the car showroom is located on the first two floors of the building, while the family of outlet owner Aggarwal lives in a penthouse on the third floor. Police Inspector Singh said that it seems that the fire broke out due to a lamp in the showroom owner’s house. Initial investigation revealed that an Akhand Deepak (a continuously burning oil lamp) was burning in the temple of Agarwal’s house. The fire broke out due to this lamp. Gradually the entire house was filled with smoke and people started suffocating. Inspector said that showroom owner Pravesh Aggarwal died in the incident. At first glance it seemed that he died of suffocation. His body has been sent for post-mortem.
Kamal Nath expressed grief
According to the police officer, Aggarwal’s elder daughter has been admitted to a private hospital and doctors are monitoring her condition. The other two members of the family are safe. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the fire department Sushil Kumar Dubey told PTI that as soon as information about the fire was received, we reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Pravesh Aggarwal was suffocated due to heavy smoke in the house. When we reached him we found him unconscious. We learned that before fainting, he had tried his best to get his two daughters out of the house. According to Dubey, there was not enough space for the smoke to come out of Aggarwal’s penthouse. He said that the vehicles parked on the ground floor of the commercial cum residential building did not suffer any damage in the fire. Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath and other party leaders have expressed grief over the demise of Aggarwal.
