Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a contractual health worker posted in the border district of Kutch on charges of sharing sensitive information of military establishments with a Pakistani spy. The ATS said on Saturday that the accused Sahadev Singh Gohil, (28), was lured by a Pakistani agent Aditi Bhardwaj to share information about the Border Security Force, Indian Navy’s construction as well as existing establishments in the area.

Pakistani spy greed for money, demanded confidential information

Superintendent of Police (ATS) Siddharth Korukonda said that since June 2023, Gohil, a resident of Lakhpat taluka in Kutch, shared pictures and videos of various BSF and naval installations in Kutch district through WhatsApp for money. The Pakistani agent first approached the contract health worker Gohil on his WhatsApp number and befriended him at a government center in Mata No Madh village in Lakhpat in June 2023. The SP said that after winning his trust, the agent sought pictures and videos of BSF, Indian Navy offices and construction works around its village.

WhatsApp of accused was related to Pakistan’s number

Gohil shared confidential information sought through WhatsApp. He said that Gohil knew that Aditi Bhardwaj is a Pakistani spy, despite this Gohil used to share sensitive information of the country with him. In January 2025, Gohil used his Aadhaar (unique identity number) to get a SIM card and shared the OTP with Pakistani agent, so that he could use WhatsApp connected to that number from the neighboring country.

FIR lodged against government to wage war against government

Korukonda said that on the basis of an information, he was brought to the ATS office for questioning a few days ago. His phone was sent for forensic investigation. The official said that after investigation, the ATS arrested Gohil. An FIR has been lodged against Gohil and Pakistani agent under Section 61 (criminal conspiracy) and 148 (waging war against the government).
