Itanagar: In the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, miscreants set the Annexe Building of a upper primary school on fire. There was a stir in the area due to fire in the building. The miscreants carried out the incident after midnight on Sunday. When everyone was sleeping. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kardak Reeba said that teams have been formed for the people who carried out the incident. Raids are being conducted everywhere for the arrest of the accused. Police said on Monday that the school’s Annexe Building located in Lipu Bagra village, in which classes of nursery, classes 1 and class 2 were run completely in the fire. The incident took place on Sunday near the district headquarters Alo.
Police started investigation
Superintendent of Police (SP) of West Siang Kardak Reeba said that the incident of fire is immersed in mystery. There was no eyewitness witness and no call was made to the fire brigade center at Aloe. Even a teacher living near the school was not aware of the incident. The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Code of India (BNS) and Public Property Damage Prevention (PDPP) Act. The police is investigating the case based on technical evidence. Alo West MLA Topin Ete has expressed grief over the incident and condemned it.

He said in a statement that I am extremely upset by the unfortunate incident of Lipu Bagra, where the miscreants set the upper primary school on fire at midnight. Although I am out of the city at the time of unavoidable official functions, I am still in constant contact with the district administration. The BJP MLA said that he has instructed the officials to take immediate relief measures and have directed the DDSE to make alternative arrangements to continue the education of the students without any interruption. Demanding strict action against the culprits, Ete said that education is the foundation of our society. Such cowardly acts will not be able to shake our collective resolution. I stand with full solidarity with the students, teachers and the community of Lipu Bagra. We will all reconstruct together, more strong and united than ever.
