Is RJD's claim true on Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation?

The Rashtriya Janata Dal has targeted the BJP on the issue of resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. RJD has described the resignation of the BJP as a conspiracy.

Row on Jagdeep Dhankhar Resignation: The opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar has surrounded the Bharatiya Janata Party on the issue of resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to the news agency PTI, RJD on Tuesday claimed that the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is a conspiracy hatched by the BJP, which aims to ‘remove’ Chief Minister Nitish Kumar before the assembly elections. However, the state minister Shravan Kumar, a close aide of Nitish Kumar, who was the longest Chief Minister of the state, rejected the claim outright.

RJD made this claim

In the assembly, RJD Chief Whip Akhtarul Islam Shaheen claimed, “For a long time, BJP wanted to get rid of Nitish Kumar and make her Chief Minister. Before the assembly elections, in which the NDA’s defeat is certain, they have become desperate.” Talking to the news agency PTI, he claimed, “For a long time, senior BJP leader has been speaking in favor of removing Nitish Kumar. Former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey once has once advocated making Nitish Kumar a Deputy Prime Minister. Therefore, it would not be wrong to conclude that Dhankhar’s resignation is a conspiracy, which is aimed at removing the objective of the BJP, which is aimed at removing the political form like a political form.”

What did Sushil Kumar Modi say?

Let me tell you that the late Sushil Kumar Modi had alleged that Nitish Kumar was advocating for the post of Vice President and when the BJP with majority in the Lok Sabha refused to give the post to the JDU supremo, he was out of the NDA. Nitish Kumar broke the ties with the BJP in 2022 and accused him of trying to “break” JDU, but he again formed an alliance before the Lok Sabha elections last year, after which his party emerged as an important ally, which is now dependent on the BJP, the center to remain in power.

What did JDU say?

Meanwhile, senior JDU leader Shravan Kumar expressed displeasure over the RJD leader’s claim. He said, “There is no question of Nitish Kumar leaving Bihar. He will remain here, will win the NDA in the assembly elections and will enjoy another term while serving the people of the state.” Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday evening citing health reasons. He sent his resignation to President Draupadi Murmu and said that he was leaving the post with immediate effect.
