Israel approves new settlements on the west coast

This announcement has been made at a time when many countries including Australia, Britain, France and Canada have said that they will recognize the state of Palestinian in September.

Magee Adumim (West Bank) News: The right -wing finance minister of Israel on Thursday announced the approval of the construction of controversial new settlements on the western coast of Israel. Palestinians and human rights groups worry that this will damage the future Palestinian state plans by dividing the west coast into two different parts. This announcement has been made at a time when many countries including Australia, Britain, France and Canada have said that they will recognize the state of Palestinian in September. Finance Minister Bezellal Smotrich said during a ceremony on Thursday that this reality eventually burys the idea of a Palestinian state, because there is nothing to give and no one to recognize. He said that whoever tries to recognize the Palestinian state in the world today will get a reply from us at the ground level.

E1 scheme will be approved

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) Did not publicly comment on the scheme on Thursday, but he has promoted it in the past. An open land in the east of Jerusalem, development in E1 has been under consideration for more than two decades, but was stopped due to American pressure during previous administration. On Thursday, Smotrich praised President Donald Trump and US Ambassador to Israel Mike Hukabi and described him as a true friend of Israel. The E1 scheme is expected to get final approval on August 20, although some bureaucracy steps are still pending, but if the process progresses rapidly, the infrastructure work can begin in the next few months and the construction of homes can start in about a year. Ahmed Al Dik, a political advisor to the Palestinian Foreign Minister, told the Associated Press on Thursday that the approval is a “colonial, expansionist and racist step”.

A controversial area: Israle.

Al Dik said that it comes under the plans of the extremist Israeli government aimed at weakening any possibility of establishing a Palestinian state on the ground, dismantling the west coast and separating its southern part from the center and north. Rights groups also strongly condemned the scheme. Peace Now described it as fatal for any possibility of Israel’s future and any possibility of receiving a peaceful bi-state solution, which is a guarantee of bloodshed for many more years. The announcement has been made at a time when the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries condemned the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement on Tuesday that he was very connected from the point of view of a great Israel. He did not explain this in detail, but the supporters of the idea believe that Israel should control not only on the west coast of the occupied, but also parts of Arab countries. Israel says that the west coast is a disputed region that should be decided through future talks, while Israel was removed from Gaza in 2005.
