Israel-Hamas War: Trump’s peace plan was to release the people held hostage by Hamas and a proposal was also presented on this. Now the Israeli cabinet has given the green signal to this and now Hamas will also disarm.
Israel-Hamas War : The Israeli Cabinet on Friday morning approved a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages taken by Hamas under President Donald Trump’s ‘peace plan’. This step has been taken at a time when the devastating war that has been going on for two years in the Middle East has to be ended. A statement was issued by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which it was written that the Cabinet has approved the outline of an agreement for the release of the hostages. However, other controversial aspects of the plan have not been mentioned yet. Additionally, the ceasefire plan also included many unanswered questions, such as whether and how Hamas would disarm and who would rule Gaza.
Israel continues to be accused of genocide
With both sides agreeing to Trump’s proposal, we appear to be closer to ending a war that has taken the lives of thousands of Palestinians than we were in a few months. During the war, most of Gaza has been turned into a pile of debris. At the same time, a huge humanitarian crisis has arisen in some parts and people, living and dead, have been left behind in Gaza. This bloody war started after Hamas’s deadly attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 and other conflicts led to a pile of dead bodies. Meanwhile, Israel started being opposed all over the world and it started being accused of committing genocide, which Israel has been continuously denying. When Hamas attacked, 1200 people were killed in Israel and 251 people were taken hostage.
Attacks continue until agreement is approved
Let us tell you that according to the Gaza Health Ministry, so far 67 thousand Palestinians have died in Israeli attacks and about 1 lakh 70 thousand people have been injured. The ministry does not differentiate between civilians and combatants and that is why half of those who died during this period included women and children. On the other hand, Israeli attacks continued in Gaza until the agreement was approved. Meanwhile, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense, explosions were seen in northern Gaza on Thursday and at least two people were killed in an attack on a building in Gaza City. Also 40 more people got buried under the pile of debris. The Gaza Health Ministry said that in the last 24 hours, 11 people have died and about 49 people have been seriously injured. It is being told that the Israeli army is attacking those positions where a threat is being created to the soldiers. Hamas has strongly criticized Israel for such attacks and said that Netanyahu is trying to escalate the war in Gaza rather than end it.
