King Charles III Visited Swaminarayan Temple: Britain’s Maharaja Charles III along with his wife Queen Camilla visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in London. This temple is also known as Neasdan Temple.

King Charles III Visited Swaminarayan Temple: Indian culture is now getting respect all over the world. Even global leaders do not shy away from following it. Britain’s Maharaja Charles III along with his wife Queen Camilla visited the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in London. This temple is also known as Neasdan Temple. On the 30th anniversary of the temple, King Charles visited the Swaminarayan temple with his family and accepted the prasad. He congratulated the temple volunteers and devotees for their selfless and dedicated service on this historic occasion.

Head priest Sadhu Yogavivekadas Swami welcomed 76-year-old King Charles with the traditional ceremony of tying the sacred thread, a symbol of peace and friendship. The king and queen saw God. After this he met the volunteers and took information about their service. During this, the king took information about the BAPS temple to be built in Paris in September 2026. This will be the first Hindu temple in France.

Expressed gratitude to King Charles

Yoga Vivekdas Swami, chief patron saint of the London temple, said the devotee community is delighted to welcome the royal couple to the Neasden temple on this historic occasion. We express our gratitude for his friendship and his continued interest in the social service work of the temple. At the same time, Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the BAPS organization, expressed his prayers and blessings for the royal family through a video from India. He said, during your decades of public service, you have given importance to faith and promoted harmony among religions. Your presence here today is proof of this.

British royal family and BAPS’s long-standing relationship

The royal family first visited BAPS Swaminarayan organization in 1996. Charles came to the temple to provide aid after the 2001 Gujarat earthquake. Apart from this, he has also visited the temple several times on special occasions like Diwali and Holi. Since its opening in 1995, Neasden Temple has become an internationally renowned spiritual and cultural centre. A unique symbol of reverence, service and Indian culture, the temple has consistently made significant contributions to British society through a range of services including child and youth development, senior citizen care, health and humanitarian assistance.
