SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav: Yadav alleged that the votes cast in 2019 were removed by 2022. There is also a proper process to make voter ID card, but it is being ignored.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav (Akhilesh Yadav) On Monday, the Election Commission accused of removing the names of voters of backward communities. He also accused of working in favor of the ruling BJP. Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Yadav alleged that the names of voters of several backward groups including Maurya, Pal, Bhagel and Rathore communities are being removed from the voter list to benefit the BJP. The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that the truth is that their votes are being removed. The SP had raised this issue earlier also, but it is important to understand that it is deliberately done to cut the votes of backward classes, while it is shown that these votes are going elsewhere. Yadav claimed that his party had identified the constituencies where he lost by a low margin and where the names of voters were the role of removing the names.
Votes cast in 2019 withdrawn in 2022
He alleged that if we get voter list in the format we want, then we can bring more such cases. The votes cast in 2019 were removed by 2022. There is also a proper process to make voter ID card, but it is being ignored. The former Chief Minister demanded strict action against the guilty officers. He said that our demand is straightforward that a single district officer responsible should be suspended. If you do this, then there will not be a single vote anywhere in the country. Let us see that in 2019, 2022 or 2024, a single officer has been removed for such a lapse. Ever since the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh, not a single officer has been punished, no matter how many complaints have been filed. Why is it like this? This means that the Election Commission listens more to the BJP.
Appointment of blo not on caste basis
He also cited a case where, according to him, a BJP MLA had made 400 fake votes at his booth, which led the SP to remove more than 200 fake votes. He said that political parties are doing such verification, but why does the Election Commission not do this? Criticizing the method of appointing officers during the election, Yadav objected to the alleged caste-based selection. He said that our demand is absolutely clear not to appoint booth level officer (BLO) on the basis of caste, not appoint presiding officers on the basis of caste. It seems that the ruling party decides which officer is best suited for them.
