New Delhi: A Delhi court has said that living in such a society is “very scary”, where children are insecure and are “hunted” by people like “vultures”. The court sentenced a person to a life imprisonment for raping a 16 -year -old girl and making her pregnant. Additional Sessions Judge Babita Punia, Section 6 (serious sexual harassment) of the Poxo Act and the Code of Justice of India (BNS) were listening to the conviction against the 45 -year -old man convicted under the rape provisions.

The court said, “It is very scary that we live in a society where children are not safe and guilty people keep an eye on them like a vulture to extinguish their lust.” The prosecution alleged that the person raped the girl repeatedly for more than a year by January 2025 and gave birth to the child in February. In an order of 16 April, the court said, “The convict made an innocent and weak girl his victim to extinguish his lust.

Said that he repeatedly made the victim a victim of her lust and made her pregnant and had to go through childbirth at the age of innocence. ” The court found that the girl was also a victim of crime and also considered the age difference between the rape, the victim and the accused that she had lured her for gifts, food and motorcycle rides, sentencing the convict to strict life imprisonment.

Said that he “deliberately lured the victim to come to his house with him so that he could attack her”. The order said, “He had raped in a certain period of time, during which he had enough opportunity to reconsider his actions and come to his senses. Rape is a violent crime in itself, which leaves not only on the body but also on the victim’s mind and soul and leaves a mark on the mind and soul and only the fact that there was no extra physical injury, it does not make it a factor.” The order said that the guilty is not a failure.

Instructions to give compensation of Rs 19.5 lakh to the victim

Rape of children is not only legally punishable, but also morally disgusting. Just because the convict has not gone to school, the heinous crime he has committed cannot be justified. In addition, there is nothing in the record that suggests that his illiterate affected him to commit crime. Giving compensation of Rs 19.5 lakh to the victim, the court said that although her sufferings cannot be compensated monetary, financial assistance will enable her to educate herself to become self -sufficient to some extent. While the FIR in the case was registered in March. The accused was convicted on 15 April and the next day the fast-track court sentenced him.
