Ekana Stadium Fire: An accident outside the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium of Lucknow before the important match in IPL 2025 on Friday. Before the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, there was a fire in the bushes outside the stadium, causing chaos in the audience present there. On receiving the news of the accident, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and the fire was controlled.
This 16th match of IPL 2025 is to be played between Rishabh Pant and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, captaining Lucknow Super Giants. The match will start at 7:30 pm, but from the afternoon, the audience started reaching the stadium in large numbers. Meanwhile, there was a fire in the bushes outside the stadium, causing chaos on the spot. The black smoke was seen from a distance, which increased the restlessness among the people.
However, it is a matter of relief that the fire did not start inside the stadium and in time the fire department gained control over the fire. There is no loss of life in this incident and there is no major loss. Sensing the situation, the administration has protected the stadium and tightened the situation.

Both Lucknow and Mumbai teams have won one each so far this season and have lost two matches each.
