Donald Trump Tariff: Tariff war between the US and Japan has come to a lot of control, as the Trump administration has raised 25 per cent instead of 25 on goods coming from Japan.
Donald Trump Tariff : US President Donald Trump (President Donald Trump) During the second term of the tariff policy, there has been a stir in countries around the world. But in the meantime, President Trump’s heart is seen melting in front of Japan, as the Trump administration has targeted 25 to 15 percent on Japanese imports. Along with this, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba (PM Shigeru Ishiba) Welcomed this decision of America and described it as a step to remove the uncertainty of major industries. It was agreed to reduce tariffs between the two sides on 22 July.
Tariff talks our top priority
Prime Minister Ishiba said on Friday that tariff talks between Japan and America were the top priority of the government and we have shown this by reaching an agreement as soon as possible. Also, the way this agreement has been reached is fantastic. This tariff agreement is at a time when there is pressure on the Japanese Prime Minister to resign within the party after the party’s defeat in July. A joint statement was signed by Japan’s top tariff negotiator Ryosei Akajawa and his US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik in Washington, which confirmed Japanese investment of US $ 550 billion in US projects.
The plane parts were excluded from the tariff
Akajawa said that the tariff on automobile and auto parts has come down to 15 percent by Trump’s order and no additional fee will be imposed at current rates. Also, mutual fees on most other items are also fixed at the same rate without any additional fee. He said that the plane parts have been kept out of the tariff. Both allies agreed to the agreement in July, but Japanese officials came to know a few days later that the initial agreement had increased the current rates by 15 percent and they objected to it. Washington admitted its mistake and agreed to fix and return any additional import duty paid.
