The movement of vehicles slowed down and some suburban train services were affected on Western Railway. On the prediction of the India Meteorological Department, the police have appealed to the people to stay inside the houses. Meteorological Department officials said that there is a possibility of heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in the metropolis during the 24 hours starting from 8.30 am, due to which the police have appealed not to leave the public.

Red alert for Raigad

Due to heavy rains, the attendance of students in schools and colleges was very low. Many schools were holidayed. IMD has already issued an orange alert for Mumbai and all its neighboring districts. While a red alert has been issued for Friday in Raigad. However, a similar alert was issued on Thursday. According to the monsoon report of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the island city, western and eastern suburbs have received an average rainfall of 29.40 mm, 29.44 mm and 18.88 mm respectively. Santacruz and Colaba Observations of IMD recorded 23.9 mm and 22.4 mm respectively. The speed of vehicles on the roads has slowed down. Officials said that suburban train services are going on without any problem on the Central Railway Network.

Dial in emergency 100/112/103

Due to heavy rains, some local trains are running late 20 minutes late on the Western Railway Network. Western Railway officials said that this problem has arisen due to rain. In view of the forecast of heavy rains in Mumbai and surrounding districts, the police have urged the citizens to take precautions. The Mumbai Police said on X that due to heavy rains in Mumbai and surrounding districts, citizens are advised to stay indoors until it is very important. Police said that people should avoid going to coastal areas and drive carefully. He said that our officers and employees are fully cautious and are ready to help Mumbai residents. Police have said that people should dial 100/112/103 in any emergency.
