PM Modi in Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Bihar on Friday (August 22). There he will address a rally. During this time, Modi will inaugurate development projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore including a bridge over the Ganges river. The PM’s programs will be at a time when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ is going on in the state. During his nearly four -hour long tour of Bihar, PM will visit Patna and Begusarai districts. The yatra will start from Gaya, where it will inaugurate projects like 660 MW power project located in Buxar, which has been built at a cost of Rs 6,880 crore. Another project to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister is Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Muzaffarpur district of North Bihar.

Buddhist circuit train will show green signal

Apart from this, Amrit Bharat Express connecting Modi Gaya with Delhi and Vaishali in North Bihar will flag off the Buddhist circuit train connecting Koderma in Jharkhand. 12,000 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) will also be given symbolizing keys. After inaugurating the projects and addressing the public, the Prime Minister will visit Mokama in Patna district, about 100 km from the state capital, where he will inaugurate the 8.15 km-long Anta-Symaria bridge. The bridge includes a 1.86 km long six -lane portion which connects Anta of Mokama to Simaria across the Ganges in Begusarai district, which is also the birthplace of famous Hindi poet Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar. This bridge is built parallel to a dilapidated two-lane Rajendra Setu, which is no longer suitable for the movement of heavy vehicles.

Prime Minister’s 54th visit to the state

This new bridge will protect heavy vehicles coming between North and South Bihar from making an additional 100 km round and reduce traffic jams in the area. This bridge is expected to promote economic growth in North Bihar, which is dependent on South Bihar and Jharkhand for raw materials, as well as providing better connectivity to Simaria Dham, the pilgrimage center in Begusarai. Meanwhile, everyone’s eyes will be on the Prime Minister’s public meeting. Because the voter rights journey of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is also going on in Bihar. Assembly elections in the state are to be held in less than two months. He can stay in Munger while going to Bhagalpur, while the Prime Minister will address the public meeting in Gaya and then visit Mokama and Begusarai. According to BJP sources, this will be the Prime Minister’s 54th visit to the state and the seventh tour of this year.
