Bullet Train: India’s first bullet train project is moving very well. Railway Minister Vaishnav visited the under -construction Surat Bullet Train Station.

Bullet Train: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Saturday that 50 km long part of India’s first bullet train project will open between Surat and Bilimora in Gujarat in 2027 and the entire section between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be operational by 2029. He said that after starting, the bullet train will cover the distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in only two hours and seven minutes. He emphasized that India’s first bullet train project is moving very well. Vaishnav visited the under -construction Surat Bullet Train Station. He inspected the track installation work and its first turnout installation. He told reporters that the overall progress of the first bullet train project is very good. The first 50 km section of the project between Surat and Bilimora will open by 2027. We are preparing for it. By 2028, the entire Thane-Ahmedabad section will be operational and by 2029 the entire Mumbai-Ahmedabad section will open.

Use of new techniques: Vaishnav

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the speed capacity of the main line is 320 km per hour and 80 km per hour for the loop line. He said that whenever the train runs at a speed of 320 kmph, the utility cable will absorb vibration. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav further said that many mechanisms have been installed to absorb vibration inside the tracks. Railway Minister Vaishnav said that there are special security features on the track so that the train remains very stable, even if there is a very strong wind or a sudden earthquake. Vaishnav said that heavy work has been completed at Surat station. Finishing and utility tasks are moving rapidly along the track links. Today, the first turnout has been set up at Surat station on the bullet train project. The turnout is the place where the track either connects or is separated. Many new techniques have been used here.

Four bullet train corridor also proposed

Said that for example these roller bearings on which the track will run. This is completely a new technology we are using. These sleepers are made of mixed materials. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the ambitious bullet train project will unite the economies of all major cities from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and promote development like Japan. He said that Mumbai-Ahmedabad is in the western part of the country. Later, we will have four bullet train corridors. India’s first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will cover a distance of 508 km. It will start from Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area and connect Vapi, Surat, Anand, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Its speed will be 320 kilometers per hour. Trains covers the distance from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in about 8 hours. Whereas the bullet train will cover the same distance in two hours and seven minutes.
