In the presence of innovators, artists, filmmakers and investors from more than 100 countries, he said that India is now becoming a new center of global creativity, not only technology and business. This platform has given practical direction to the concept of ‘Create in India, Create for the World’. Creators will become the next economic revolution

The Prime Minister said that ahead of traditional industries, now Creative Industries – such as films, music, gaming, animation, and digital art – will become the backbone of India’s next economic wave. He described it as the era of ‘Orange Economy’, which has three axis: content, creativity and culture. Modi said that the way technology startups changed the economic map at some time, now the same changes are bringing the creators. They have now become carriers of employment, export and global identity, not just entertainment. The government’s full cooperation is with them, whether it is creator funding or access to global platforms for content.

Indian soul will be in 21st century stories

PM Modi also gave special emphasis on India’s storytelling tradition at the Waves Conference. He said that today when the whole world is looking for new stories and voices, India has a precious treasure of thousands of years old stories, folk arts and theatrical traditions. There are no time limitations in India’s stories- these are Timeless, Thought-Profoking and Truly Global. He said that this is the time when Indian creators produce creativity not only for the country, but for the whole world.
