Private Wedding Charters: A new luxury trend is growing rapidly in India’s destination wedding culture. Now not only luxurious palaces, beach resorts or foreign locations, but private wedding charter jets are also becoming the first choice of big families to take guests to the wedding. According to aviation service providers across the country, private charter bookings for weddings have seen a significant increase in the last few years, which reflects the demand for premium, personal and time efficient services in modern Indian weddings.
Increasing demand for charter jets
From Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala to Thailand, Dubai and Europe, Indian families today want to make their wedding a wonderful travel experience. In such a situation, the private aviation sector has emerged as a strong support system, where logistics are being made easier for large wedding groups. At the same time, even at the global level, business jets are now being preferred not only for corporate but also for event and leisure travel.

Weddings are known for suddenly changing plans and functions lasting late into the night. Private charter gives complete freedom to families to change the time and itinerary as per their convenience. Apart from this, the use of private lounges (FBOs) instead of crowded airports makes traveling much easier for the elderly, VIP guests and large groups. Not only this, many wedding hotspots like Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Kabini or Lakshadweep have less commercial flights. Charter jets can also land at smaller airports, thereby avoiding long road journeys. Then after Covid, people are preferring to choose controlled and hygienic travel. In such a situation, charter jets also provide benefits like minimal contact, sanitization and personal baggage handling.

Many families arrange for themed decor, custom catering, music and even pre-wedding shoots in the jet. That means the flight itself becomes a celebration spot. Apart from this, traveling is done by booking several jets or mid-size aircraft for members of the same family living in different cities. In such a situation, due to this increasing demand, thousands of jobs are being created for pilots, crew, ground staff, catering and resort services. Many charter companies are also preparing packages in collaboration with wedding planners and luxury hotels.
