New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed the 26 MBBS students found involved in the disturbances in NEET-UG 2024 to immediately suspend and canceled the entry of 14 students for the educational year 2024-25 to resort to improper means during the entrance examination. There is an all -India examination given by the candidates to get admission in National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination or NEET medical colleges.
NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case agencies are investigating
The National Testing Agency identified examples of unfair means as part of the ongoing investigation by several agencies in the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case and deprived 42 candidates to take 2024,2025, 2026 NEET-UG for three years. It also banned nine candidates for 2025 and 2026 sessions. Action against the students has been initiated on the basis of the findings of the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating the cases.
The Commission’s emphasis on the policy of “zero-tolerance” towards educational fraud
In view of the severity of these violations and their ability to reduce the credibility of the medical education system, the National Medical Commission has issued instructions to the concerned medical colleges and institutions to immediately suspend 26 MBBS students who have been found involved in it. The Commission emphasized the policy of “zero-tolerance” towards educational fraud and said that it is committed to all measures to maintain integrity, transparency and accountability in medical entry. This instruction has come before the prescribed NEET-UG 2025 on 4 May.
