Due to the rise in the water level of Kheer vehicle due to cloudburst, debris came with heavy floods in the town Dharlikhir Gad. On receiving the information of this incident, SDRF, Revenue, Army Disaster Team reached the spot and got involved in relief and rescue work.

Flood debris around

The Dharali market has suffered heavy losses due to sudden floods. Only the debris that came with floods is visible all around. People are leaving this place and going to safe places. Due to the floods, the ancient Kalp Kedar temple situated on the banks of the Kheer Ganga is also reported to be buried in the debris.

5 hotels were destroyed

According to the information, 5 hotels have been completely destroyed in the devastating floods in the Kheer Ganga river at Dharali, the main stop of Gangotri Dham. 4 people have died due to floods. People said that the cloud has burst somewhere in the water consumption area of Kheer Ganga, due to which this terrible flood has occurred.

CM Dhami made a statement

Since this incident, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami posted on social media and said that there has been news of heavy losses due to cloudburst in Dharali (Uttarkashi) area, which is very sad and painful. SDRF, NDRF, district administration and other related teams are present on the spot for relief and rescue operations. I am constantly in touch with senior officials and the situation is being monitored. I pray to God for everyone to be safe.

The administration said that due to the rise in the water level of Kheer Gad in Harshil region, there has been a huge loss in the town. The administration has instructed people to keep distance from the river and go to safe places.
