Opposition party like Congress has ridiculed Owaisi’s efforts to extend its All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party outside its stronghold in Hyderabad region.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that the BJP is continuously winning elections as the opposition has failed and has united Hindu votes. He rejected the suggestions that he cuts into anti -Modi votes. Owaisi said in an interview to PTI video on Saturday, “How can you blame me, tell me?” Owaisi said, “If I contest in Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Kishanganj and some other seats in the 2024 parliamentary elections and BJP gets 240 seats, am I responsible?” He said, “The BJP is coming to power because the opposition is failed. The BJP is winning the election because it has cast about 50 percent of the Hindu votes in its favor.
BJP’s B-Tim is to say opposition’s mind
He said that the attempt to accuse him and call him B-Team is nothing but the opposition’s senselessness as it mainly represents Muslims. Opposition party like Congress has ridiculed Owaisi’s efforts to extend its All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party outside its stronghold in Hyderabad region and said that he is benefiting the BJP by snatching a large part of votes, in which most Muslims are Muslims. The fifth time Lok Sabha MP accused the opposition parties of taking Muslim votes lightly and paying less attention to their real concerns. He said, “When every section of the society has a glimpse of political leadership, and it is acceptable to you, but you do not want Muslims to have a glimpse of political voice, political leadership.
The upper caste people will be leaders and Muslim beggars, how will it be possible
Asked if he was referring to the Congress, he said that he was referring to all opposition parties. Owaisi said, “Yadav will be leaders, Muslims will be beggars. Upper caste people will be leaders, Muslim beggars will be a beggar. Tell me how it is appropriate. He expressed grief and said that the founders of India had seen the country as a participant democracy, then where is the participation of Muslims? He said,” When we will stand forward with the integrity and security of the Muslims. But we have to talk about the problems inside our homes.
Muslim participation in politics is only 4 percent
He said that despite being the largest minority group with about 15 percent of the population in the country, Muslims have only 4 percent participation in the assemblies and Parliament. Asked why it is so, he said that this is because political parties do not give tickets to Muslims to contest elections and then people do not vote for Muslims. He warned that India cannot achieve “developed India” target by keeping such a large community marginalized and weak.
Parties should work to educate Muslims and give jobs
He said that political parties should stop seeing Muslims as vote banks and instead should work to raise them, educate them, behave with them properly and give them jobs. Our fight is that we do not want to remain voters. We want to remain citizens. Owaisi’s efforts to emerge as leaders with electoral appeal outside their stronghold have achieved some success as his party has won some seats in states like Bihar and Maharashtra in the last elections, especially in states where Muslim population is high.
