Uttarakhand paper leak case: The Uttarakhand paper leak case has caught fire. The youth have demonstrated and demanded a CBI inquiry. In protest against the alleged leakage of three pages of graduate level examination paper, Uttarakhand Unemployed Association on Thursday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) be investigated irregularities in the examination. On September 21, a delegation led by Sangh President Ram Kandwal met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, amidst the uproar due to the leak of three pages of the question paper during the competitive examination for various departments, but no result was found. A large number of students have put tents on the road outside the parade ground here under the banner of Uttarakhand Unemployed Association and have sat on an indefinite dharna. The union has also demanded immediate resignation, cancellation of examination of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) and amendment in the constable recruitment rules from the state government.
Demand for CBI inquiry into the incident
Union state vice -president Suresh Singh said that we will not end our protests until the state government accepts all our demands. Singh alleged that there have been large -scale irregularities in the examination and unemployed will continue their protests until the government accepts their demands. Since the incident came to light, the opposition Congress has been continuously targeting the state government on this issue. State Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana said that his party will protest against the state government at all district headquarters on Friday and demand a CBI inquiry into the incident. Amid increasing pressure, the state government on Wednesday formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of a retired High Court judge to investigate the case. A five -member SIT has been formed under the chairmanship of Dehradun Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jai Baluni, who are investigating the case.
SIT will give its report within a month
Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan said that the investigation of the SIT will cover the entire state and submit its report within a month. He said that strict action will be taken against those found guilty in the investigation. Bardhan said that the interest of students is paramount for the state government and SIT has been formed to maintain the credibility and purity of the examination system between the general public and the students. He said that the state government will also request the Commission that no other step should be taken regarding the examination till the investigation is completed. Screenshots of three pages of the examination paper conducted by the Commission went viral on social media. In these, photos taken shortly after the examination started, there was a stir in the state.
The main accused was also candidate
The police have arrested the main accused Khalid Malik and his sister Sabia. Khalid appeared in the examination as a candidate of Haridwar. According to the police, Khalid had taken a photo of the question paper from the examination center made at Adarsh Bal Sadan Inter College located in Bahadurpur Jat village in the stone area of Haridwar and sent it to his sister Sabia, who sent questions to Assistant Professor Suman in Tehri and received questions. Suman was suspicious of the questions, after which he took his screenshot and gave information to another person, who instead of going to the police or a competent officer, made him viral by uploading him on social media.
