Chhath Mahaparva is a unique confluence of faith, worship and love for nature. In this, where Arghya is offered to the setting and rising Sun God, the Prasad also includes various colors of nature. The songs and tunes of Chhath Puja are also filled with a wonderful feeling of devotion and nature.
PM remembered Sharda Sinha
Remembering Sharda Sinha, PM wrote, I am fortunate that just yesterday, I got the opportunity to go to Begusarai. Bihar Nightingale Sharda Sinha ji has a close relationship with Begusarai. Sharda Sinha ji and many folk artists of Bihar have added a different feeling to the celebration of Chhath through their songs. Yesterday in Begusarai also, PM Modi had said about Chhath and Sharda Sinha in his rally. PM said that Sharda Sinha was the daughter-in-law of Begusarai. We honored him first with Padma Bhushan and then this year with Padma Vibhushan. He is no longer among us, but his songs will always be remembered.”
