Debate on Operation Sindoor: The eyes are now on Parliament, where on the one hand the government wants to tell the saga of ‘Vijay’, while the opposition wants to know its ‘truth’.

Debate on Operation Sindoor: The political stir in the Lok Sabha today is going to reach the peak in the Lok Sabha regarding the historic ‘Operation Sindoor’ in Jammu and Kashmir. The Center and the opposition will face face to face in this debate, which is going to start from 12 noon. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will start the debate, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention is also being expressed. This debate can last for about 16 hours.

Rajnath Singh’s big strategic preparation

Prior to this important discussion, the Defense Minister took command of several high level meetings continuously. CDS General Anil Chauhan, in a meeting with the Chief and Defense Secretary of the three armies, it was decided how the government’s favor would be kept in the Lok Sabha. All documents related to the operation will be kept in Parliament.

PM Modi can also give suggestions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described this campaign as an example of the country’s military self -sufficiency. In today’s debate, he can also talk on aspects related to strategic, technical and national security of this operation. It will be the effort of the government to introduce Operation Sindoor as national pride.

Opposition also tightened

Opposition coalition India has made a joint strategy to take answers from the government. In the morning, an important meeting of opposition parties was called in which it was decided that the government will be surrounded to make public information about transparency, political objectives and military operations.

What is ‘Operation Sindoor’?

This military operation was the response to the terrorist attack on the intervening night of 6-7 May, which took place on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This operation was completed in just 22 minutes and more than 100 terrorists were killed in it. The Modi government called it a ‘Vijay Utsav’ and called a big victory of indigenous defense technology.

Will any big message come out of debate?

This long debate in Parliament will not just discuss a military action, but will also be a big message on the government’s security policy, the role of the army and the accountability of the opposition in the political perspective of 2025. The question is whether this debate will move towards consensus, or will it get entangled between political allegations and counter-allegations?
