During this, the workers lodged a complaint with the police station regarding the abuses written on Facebook. After this disputed post, local activists started protesting. He accused the user of using Rahul Gandhi of using the derogatory language and demanded strict action under the law. Hundreds of party workers including District Youth Congress President Shubham Singh reached Sangram police station and also submitted a memorandum to the officials.

Strict action will be taken after investigation

Shubham Singh alleged in the complaint that on September 4, Sunil Pal’s Facebook ID used objectionable language against Rahul Gandhi, including abuses for his mother. He urged the police to gather information about this account and register a primary against the person. Station in -charge Akhilesh Singh said that the matter has been sent to the District Monitoring Cell for technical investigation. He further said that after the report is revealed, the strict action will be taken against the person as per the rules. Currently, Rahul Gandhi is a Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli and he is also considered a stronghold of the Congress.
