Bihar Election 2025 : With the announcement of election dates in Bihar, all political parties have also started election campaigning. Meanwhile, allegations like continuously buying tickets and withdrawing the names of candidates are also being made in Bihar. In this context, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore on Tuesday alleged that three of his party’s candidates in the Bihar elections were forced to withdraw their nominations under pressure from the BJP. Addressing a press conference, Kishor said that the ruling NDA is so scared of losing the elections that it has started threatening opposition candidates to withdraw from the elections.
Attempt to replicate Surat model in Bihar
At the same time, Prashant Kishore alleged that democracy is being openly murdered in Bihar and now there is no example left in the country that these people are not doing unconstitutional work. Meanwhile, he has also urged the Election Commission to ensure the security of the candidates. He said that the candidates who have withdrawn their nominations were contesting from Danapur, Brahmapur and Gopalganj assembly seats. Kishor further said that BJP is trying to repeat the Surat model, in which their candidates were elected unopposed. All other candidates were forced to withdraw from the election. BJP does not realize that voters across the country punished it for this.
Candidates will contest elections on 240 seats
He said that this time BJP has got 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, whereas it had claimed to win more than 400 seats. Kishore announced the party’s candidates for all 243 seats in Bihar. At the same time, after withdrawal of names of three candidates, now the party’s candidates are standing on only 240 seats. Also, now the last date for filing nominations has passed, in such a situation the party cannot field any other candidate on these three seats. Regarding Dr. Satyaprakash Tiwari, the candidate who withdrew his name from Brahmapur Assembly seat, he said that huge pressure was put on him from BJP. PK also showed the photo with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other BJP leaders at Tiwari’s house. Prashant Kishore also said that after Chhath festival, he will make a big revelation about corruption and insider games.
