He further said that Vande Mataram is not just a sentiment, but a symbol of the strength and morality of the freedom struggle in the country. Now this speech of his has become much discussed and people are sharing it extensively on social media. In the meantime, read the 10 big things related to his speech which he said in the Parliament…
1) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the government and said that the song Vande Mataram had forced the British Empire to bow down. Also, as soon as the name of Vande Mataram is taken, memories and courage of the country’s freedom struggle come to the fore.
2) The Congress leader said that when communal politics emerged in the 1930s, this song started attracting a lot of controversies. After this, in the year 1937, when Subhash Chandra Bose was organizing the Congress session in Kolkata. The letter was read out on October 20, but before that, Prime Minister Modi did not mention the letter that Netaji had written to Nehru.
3) At the same time, in response to the letter of 17 October, Pandit Nehru wrote in his letter of 20 October that I have decided that I will come to Calcutta on 25 October and meet Tagore. On October 28, Congress declared Vande Mataram as the national anthem. During this time all the great men were present and everyone had given their consent.
4) He said that there is repression, show-off, distraction, event management and politics from election to election in the Modi government. Priyanka said that ‘Vande Mataram’ is a plea for the hopes of the country, which your government is rejecting every day. Also, when crores of citizens of this country see the tricolor waving, ‘Vande Mataram’ comes to their lips.
5) Priyanka said that for as many years as Narendra Modi has been the Prime Minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru has been in jail for the same number of years for the country. He lived for this country and died while serving it.
6) The Congress leader said that raising questions on the nature of ‘Vande Mataram’, which was accepted by the Constituent Assembly, is an insult to those great men who took this decision with their great wisdom. This also exposes an anti-constitutional intention. Have the ruling party colleagues become so arrogant that they have started considering themselves greater than Mahatma Gandhi, Tagore, Rajendra Prasad, Dr. Ambedkar, Maulana Azad, Sardar Patel and Subhash Chandra Bose?
7) He said that Pandit Nehru has been the Prime Minister of the country for 17 years and has worked for the country. Enumerating the works of the first Prime Minister of India, he said that if ISRO had not been created, Mangalyaan would not have happened. If DRDO had not been created, Tejas would not have been made. If IIT-IIM had not been built, we would not have been ahead in IT. If AIIMS had not been built, how would Corona have been faced? And if PSUs like BHEL-SAIL had not been built, how would India have become developed?
8) The Wayanad MP said that Vande Mataram is sung collectively in every session of the Congress. Also, is Vande Mataram sung in BJP-RSS conventions or not? He said that BJP is committing a sin by disputing this great mantra of the country’s soul, but the Congress party will not indulge in this sin.
9) Priyanka said that Congress is for the country, BJP is for elections. At the same time, we will continue to fight for this soil with you and your ideology. You can’t stop us.
