Project Praveen: Training batch will start in government schools from October 20, students will get free study material

Project Praveen: Free study material will be given to registered trainees. The government said that the distribution process will be in the presence of representatives of the District Program Management Unit.

Project Praveen: Skill training will be started in government secondary schools across the state under Project Praveen for the financial year 2025-26 in Uttar Pradesh. This announcement was made by the Yogi government on Friday. According to an official statement, Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission has allocated targets to training providers for this purpose. According to the instructions of the Skill Development Mission, training providers will have to set up training centers as per the rules. After this, after getting approval from the District Program Management Unit, compulsory training batch will have to be started by 20 October 2025. On this occasion, free study material will be given to registered trainees. The government said that the distribution process will be in the presence of representatives of the District Program Management Unit.

Photos will have to be uploaded on the mission portal

According to the statement, training providers are required to upload on the mission portal with at least three photographs of study material distribution and at least three photos of the distribution and batch starting, which is duly verified by the District Program Management Unit. The government believes that this measure will ensure transparency and accountability. The government has said that Project Praveen is a symbol of this vision, which ensures that students of secondary schools not only get skill training, but also have free access to necessary study materials. Priya Singh, Additional Mission Director of Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, reviewed the progress of the ongoing registration under the India Skill Competition 2025 on Friday. He also held a meeting with the District Project Management Units (DPMU) and directed them to speed up the registration process.

Registration by 15 October

Additional Mission Director said that all districts will conduct special campaigns to promote participation to ensure maximum participation from Uttar Pradesh in the competition. Director Priya Singh said that extensive publicity, counseling camps and institutional coordination should be increased rapidly to connect youth with skill competition. The time limit for registration has now been extended till 15 October 2025. He instructed all the district project management units to establish direct communication with the target youth and ensure an increase in the registration number.
