BJP MP Kangana Ranaut recently commented on drugs, which has passed away to Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. Cheema has targeted Kangana Ranaut.
Harpal singh chema on kangana ranaut remark: Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Friday targeted BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s remarks in which he said that drugs coming from Punjab are adversely affecting the youth of Himachal Pradesh. Speaking to reporters, Cheema said, “Kangana Ranaut should control herself as she has a habit of making absurd and irrelevant statements to make media headlines. She does not have the basic understanding of things, so she makes such statements towards society and women. I condemn her statement.”
Raised many questions raised
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader questioned why the MPs of Mandi are silent on the issue of drug problem in BJP ruled states as well as in their home state Himachal Pradesh. He said, “The problem of drugs is more in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan (BJP ruled states) and even Himachal Pradesh (Congress -ruled state). The most drugs in the country are sent to Gujarat and insisted that Punjab is taking steps to erase this problem from the root.”
Kangana made this allegation
Talking to reporters outside Parliament in Delhi, Kangana Ranaut said, “The situation of drugs in Himachal is so serious that if strict steps are not taken immediately, like Punjab, like Punjab, where some villages have only widows and women, Himachal will have to face the same situation.” He claimed that drugs coming from Punjab are ruining the future of the youth of Himachal Pradesh, because many of them have become addicted to drugs and are stealing their parents’ jewelry or cars to buy drugs. Referring to the situation of addicts, he said, “They lock themselves in rooms, break furniture, scream and shout for help. It is worse than death for them.” Kangana Ranaut also supported Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla’s statement that if action was not taken immediately to eradicate the problem of drug, the state would become ‘Udta Punjab’ in the next five years. ‘Udta Punjab’ is a Hindi film made in 2016 which is based on the risk of drug addiction in Punjab. The Governor of Himachal Pradesh also stressed the immediate need for the establishment of a new state -of -the -art de -addiction and rehabilitation center by the state government.
