College also mourned Harsimrat’s death

Mohok College has also mourned the death of Harsimrat. A college spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened by this loss of a member of our community. We will provide all possible assistance to Harsimrat’s friends family and the entire college community.”

This incident is the fourth murder of an Indian in Canada in the last four months. This incident has once again raised concern in the Indian community. Earlier in December 2024, Gursis Singh, a student from Ludhiana, Punjab, was stabbed to death. The Government of India has expressed concern over increasing crimes and hatred based violence in Canada.
