Rahul Gandhi Gets bail In Defamatory Case: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is relieved. He has been granted bail in the case of a statement against Home Minister Amit Shah in the year 2018 by an MP-MLA court of Chaibasa in Jharkhand. Regarding this, a complaint was filed against BJP leader Pratap Kumar in the Chaibasa CJM Court of Jharkhand in July 2018 itself. He made attendance in the court, after which he has got relief. Gandhi appeared in the court at around 10.55 am.

What is the whole matter?

Let us tell you here that this whole matter is of the year 2018. At the Congress session on March 28, 2018, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a controversial statement during the speech against the then National President Amit Shah, the then National President of the time, who is now the Home Minister. On behalf of BJP leader Pratap Kumar regarding the same objectionable statement, a complaint of defamation was filed against Rahul Gandhi in the CJM Court of Jharkhand in July 2018, in which Rahul Gandhi has got relief.

Non -bailable warrant issued

Significantly, Rahul Gandhi was not present in the court in this case. After this, the court issued a non -bailable warrant against him on 24 May and ordered him to be physically appearing in the court on 26 June. Rahul Gandhi reached the Jharkhand High Court to revoke the warrant issued by the Chaibasa court. While hearing this, the Jharkhand High Court directed him to appear in Chaibasa Court on 6 August. However, now he has been granted bail in this case.

Gandhi’s statement of Gandhi’s lawyer Pranav Daripa

At the same time, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer Pranav Daripa said that Rahul Gandhi appeared in the court as per the direction of the Jharkhand High Court. He sought bail and he has been granted conditional bail. Now we will carry forward the process. The lawyer further said that the matter is related to defamation and was recorded in the year 2018. Pranav Daripa said that the case was initially registered in the court of Ranchi and Chaibasa was transferred in the year 2021. Since then, we had filed a petition before the High Court for exemption from personal presence and we are here as per the directions of the High Court.
