Rahul Gandhi attacks Center on Indigo's failure

Rahul Gandhi News: The opposition is attacking the central government regarding the Indigo crisis. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the country wants competition but the government is preparing a monopoly model.

Rahul Gandhi News: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has broken his silence on the Indigo crisis and has held the Central Government responsible for it. Regarding various disruptions in the operations of the country’s largest airline company IndiGo, the Congress leader on Friday alleged that all these are the result of the Centre’s monopoly model and asserted that India deserves development in every sector, but the match-fixing monopoly is not allowing it to progress. Let us tell you that 550 flights have been canceled by IndiGo on Thursday and 400 on Friday and the travel plans of hundreds of passengers have been adversely affected. Gandhi said that the common citizen of India is paying the price in the form of cancellation and helplessness.

India deserves competition: Rahul

The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha said in an ex-post that Indigo’s fiasco is the price of the monopoly model of this government. He further said that India deserves competition in every sector, not match-fixing monopoly. Apart from this, the former Congress President, while sharing the cutting of an article in a newspaper last year, had written that the original East India Company had ended about 150 years ago, but the fear it had created at that time has now returned with the arrival of new types of monopolists, who have taken its place. Gandhi had stressed that a New Deal for progressive Indian business was an idea whose time had come.

The government had to bow before the companies

At the same time, Congress media department head Pawan Kheda said that what is happening at airports today is the result of monopoly or duopoly. He said that the country was told that people wearing slippers would also board the aeroplane. But shoes and slippers are being exchanged between passengers and IndiGo staff at airports. He further said that two people will run the party, two people will run the government and two people will run the entire business. Kheda said that 92 percent share of our airline sector is in the hands of only two companies Indigo and Tata. The government had to bow down before them and due to pressure from these companies had to withdraw the new passenger safety guidelines.

Not good for economy and democracy: Priyanka

Apart from this, while talking to the media persons regarding the monopoly issue, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that we all know that most of the things in the entire country are owned by only a few people and all this has happened because of this government. This is not right. This is not good for the economy and democracy. On the other hand, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal alleged that the Prime Minister Modi-led government has limited the once competitive industry to just two players and has given priority to corporate greed over the interests of passengers.
