Landslide in Himachal Pradesh: Landslides due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh have affected the lives of common people. At the same time, one person has died in Kullu and 6 people were buried under debris.

Landslide in Himachal Pradesh : A major accident took place in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. Two houses collapsed due to the sudden landslide, due to which one person died and 6 people were buried in a pile of debris. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rescued three people, including a woman and recovered a dead body. NDRF Assistant Commandant Santosh said that three people have been rescued and admitted to the hospital, while six people buried in the debris are constantly being searched. He said that we were already working at a place, due to which we rescued three people within 10 minutes.

Those who were saved told the incident

Earlier on Tuesday night, two people, including a NDRF jawan, had died and rescue operations were on to evacuate the buried people due to two houses collapsing in the Akhara market on Tuesday night. On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner of Kullu, Torul S Ravin said that due to continuous rains for the last three-four days, landslide has been done in many places. At the same time, Radhika Sankhyan, one of the three people rescued by NDRF, told that when the landslide came to her house, she was making tea in her kitchen. He told that after landslides, I got buried under utensils and debris and during this time the kitchen door also fell. Apart from this, traffic has been affected due to cracks in the roads.

Roads and high-ways closed

Explain that due to heavy rains, all government and private colleges, schools, Anganwadi and coaching centers in the state have been closed till 7 September. Apart from this, according to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), Mandi 294, 226 in Kullu, 216 in Shimla, 204 in Chamba and 91 in Sirmaur district are blocked. Apart from this, National Highway-3 (Mandi-Dharmpur Road), National Highway-5 (Old Hindustan-Tibet Marg), National Highway-21 (Chandigarh-Manali Marg), National Highway-205 (Kharar to Swarghat), National Highway-305 (AOT-Sainge route) and National Highway-505 (Gramfu) have been closed.

Electricity and water supply affected

SEC said on Thursday morning that due to rain, 2,809 power transformers and 1,081 water supply were also badly affected across the state. Trains have also been canceled till Friday after landslides on the Shimla-Kalka railroad. Some parts of the state received moderate to heavy rains and from Wednesday evening, there was 74.6 ml of rain.
