Bareilly (UP): On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, on Saturday, siblings reached Bareilly Central Jail-2, where they tied Rakhi to their families and urged to leave the world of crime and try to get respect in the society. Officials said that the sisters had brought the jailed brothers with colorful rakhis and sweets for their brothers. He tied rakhi, applied tilak and wished his happiness, prosperity and long life. Apart from this, he encouraged his brothers to give up criminal activities and take an oath to get a respectable place in the society. Many male prisoners became emotional while meeting their sisters and hugged them warmly. The sisters said that despite their brothers being in jail, their love and blessings for each other are maintained.
The atmosphere is emotional due to the union of brother and sister
Vipin Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Central Jail-2 of Bareilly, said that the jail officials had made special arrangements for the visitors. In addition, security was increased. Sweets and drinking water were arranged. Senior Superintendent Vipin Mishra said that such events help the prisoners to connect emotionally to their families and motivate them to join the society again. Some women prisoners also tied a rakhi to their brothers who came to meet them in jail. Bhupendra Chaudhary (name changed) shared that he had come to get a rakhi from his sister Mamta (name changed), who is the only sister among the four brothers. He alleged that his sister had fallen into a bad company and started smuggling opium. However, now she believes that by leaving this lifestyle, she will get away from crime.
The only brother’s wrist from five sisters
Pradeep Namdev (name changed), a 24 -year -old prisoner and five sisters, all his sisters met the only brother. He claimed that a infamous woman had falsely accused her brother. Pushpa Pandey, a member of the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission, visited the Central Jail-2 and met the women prisoners. He tied rakhi to those women whose brothers could not come to meet him on the festival. Pandey also appreciated the efforts of jailer Shailesh Kumar Singh, Anand Singh, Deputy Jailor Chaitanya Kumar Singh, Deputy Jailor Piyush Pandey, Kiran Kumari, Rita Sagar and the entire jail staff, who made careful arrangements. Decoration of the campus and made the occasion really inspiring.
