Eye Fatigue : Whether it is a run -of -the -mill life or to keep yourself busy on the mobile screen, the presence of all the time on social media platforms not only harm us physically, but it also makes mentally ill. In such a situation, this cannot be affected by all these eyes, our eyes get tired due to constant pressure on the eyes, water in the eyes, swelling, mild pain in the head are its common symptoms, it is often seen that we have seen the initial symptoms, but gradually these symptoms make us sick. Also, it does not take long for the body to get hit by severe disease, in such a situation, we should do that the work of the day should also be done as well as the eyes should be healthy. For this, a practice is mentioned in yoga, which is called ‘Trataka’ verb.

What is trataka?

The word Trataka has originated from ‘Tra’. Which literally means freeing. This action is used to clean the eyes and speed up the glow of the eyes. In this action, the eyes are normally concentrated on a certain object. For example, there may be a lamp or a burning candle flame. Keep in mind that the item we are selecting, should be seen by using (without swinging eyelids). Till then the eyes do not get water. In the initial state, the practice of trataka should be continuously practiced. If you become suitable in practice, then gradually you can be seen by removing the image of the presiding deity from the eyes of the mind.

Preparations before doing trataka

Keep a burning candle or burning earthen lamp at a parallel height of the eyes at a distance of about one and a half yards or two and a half feet. In the yoga tradition, it is advisable to use the light burnt with ghee as a source of light energy in the lamp of earthen lamp. This is called Jyoti Trataka.

How to know the right method

  • Sit in a dark room and sit in a dark room in the dark room (Siddhasana or Padmasana). Close your eyes.
  • Gradually open the eyes and a concentrated object which can contain a lamp or candle, keep watching it with open eyes continuously.
  • Keep in mind the definite object until the eyes go to water or tears.
  • Generally, by doing this practice for 5 to 10 minutes continuously, the eyes get water. Then close your eyes and relax the eyes.
  • Repeat the practice 3 to 4 times, until the person gets used to the sight of 10 to 15 minutes without blinking the eyelids.
  • If anything is not visible except the thing that is frozen on the object, then practice is considered successful.

Scientist and spiritual foundation of trataka

In trataka, unchanged (as cannot be changed) or a constant focus on one object. Due to this, our brain becomes adamant on one object and stops paying attention to the other thing. That is, it stops looking at the outside world. Continuous practice of trataka increases alpha waves, which is a sign of being in the rest of the brain. On reaching this state, a certain part of the brain stops working. Due to which the brain process stops. This brain gets a better rest.

Talk about the spiritual effects of practice, its practice develops our spiritual powers and ignites the inner light. The practice of trataka affects the command cycle, which transmits positivity.

Precautions Before Trataka

  • Do not practice in light or light and turbulent place.
  • A person with weak vision seek proper guidance before practice.
  • Jyoti (meditation point) should be stable, not fluttering.
  • A person with restlessness and stress of the mind should avoid practice.
