The Kirishi refinery located in Russia’s northwestern Leningrad region has been attacked. The company operated by the Russian oil company Sargutneftgas produces about 17.7 million metric tonnes (355,000 barrels per day) a year and is one of the top three refineries according to the production.

Drone strengthened both sides in fighting

The drones have emerged as a major weapon for both sides after more than three years of the complete invasion of Ukraine from Russia. Many Russian drones entered Poland, after which NATO sent fighter aircraft to kill him and also pointed to a long -standing concerns stating that this war could spread outside Ukraine. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the news of explosion and fire in the Kirishi refinery has come to light. Ukraine also posted a picture in which smoke was seen in the sky at night. On the other hand, regional governor Alexander Drozzedanko said that three drones went to Kirishi area where the plant caught fire due to its falling debris.

80 Ukrainian drones destroyed: Russia

For the moment, no response has been revealed by Russia on this attack. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, around 80 Ukrainian drones were destroyed at night above Crimea and Azov Sea. Let us know that Russia is the largest exporting country of oil in the world, but there has been a shortage of gasoline due to Ukrainian attack and change in weather. Apart from this, petrol pumps at petrol pumps in some areas of the country have ended and drivers have to put a long line to get petrol. Now to overcome this deficiency, Russia has stopped petrol exports or has started to reduce much. On the other hand, the officials have announced a complete ban till 30 September on Wednesday and partial ban on traders and middlemen by 31 October.
