PM MODI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two-day visit to Gujarat from Thursday (30 October). He will participate in the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Patel in Kevadiya. On Thursday evening, the Prime Minister will go to Ekta Nagar of Kevadiya and flag off the e-buses there. Apart from this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects worth more than Rs 1,140 crore. On Friday, the Prime Minister will pay floral tributes at the Statue of Unity. After this, he will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Modi will also interact with the officer trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course. With a total investment of more than Rs 1,140 crore, these projects reflect the government’s vision to promote eco-tourism, green mobility, smart infrastructure and tribal development in the area around the world’s tallest statue, the statement said.

Birsa Munda Tribal University will be inaugurated

The projects that will be inaugurated on this occasion include Birsa Munda Tribal University at Rajpipla, Hospitality District at Garudeshwar (Phase-1), Vaman Vriksha Vatika, Satpura Security Wall, E-Bus Charging Depot and 25 electric buses, Narmada Ghat Extension, Kaushalya Path, walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhawan (Phase-2), Smart Bus Stop (Phase-2), Dam Replica Fountain, GSEC Quarter etc. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of various projects, including the Museum of Imperial States of India, Veer Balak Udyan, Sports Complex, Rain Forest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, Travelators at the Statue of Unity, etc. The Prime Minister will also release a special commemorative coin and postage stamp worth Rs 150 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

Will honor soldiers

On Friday, the Prime Minister will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations and pay floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He will administer the Unity Day oath and observe the Unity Day parade. The parade will include contingents of BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB as well as various state police forces. This year’s highlights include the BSF marching contingent featuring exclusively Indian breed of dogs such as Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds, the Gujarat Police Cavalry Show, the Assam Police Motorcycle Daredevil Show, and the BSF Camel Squad and Camel Band. The parade will also honor five Shaurya Chakra winners of the CRPF and 16 gallantry medal winners of the BSF, who displayed extraordinary courage in anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand and counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir. BSF personnel will also be honored for their bravery during Operation Sindoor.

900 artists will participate in the Unity Day Parade

This year’s National Unity Day Parade will include ten tableaux from NSG, NDRF, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manipur, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Puducherry, based on the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’. A cultural program presented by 900 artistes will feature classical dances of India showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian culture. This year the National Unity Day celebrations have special significance as the nation is celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The seventh edition of Aarambh is being organized on the theme “Reimagining Governance”. The 100th Foundation Course comprises 660 officer trainees from 16 civil services of India and three civil services of Bhutan.
