New Delhi: The Senior National Squash Championship will be held in New Delhi from 23 to 28 August. This announcement was made by Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) on Thursday. SRFI general secretary Cyrus Poncha said on Thursday that our Senior National Championship is being held at Dhyanchand Stadium in Delhi for three weeks. It has been organized from 23 to 28 August. SRFI general secretary Cyrus Poncha said that most of the top players are expected to participate in this event. SRFI along with Tech Giant HCL also launched HCL India Squash Tour 2025-26 on Thursday. The Professional Squash Association (PSA) tour, which has now been expanded to six cities, will conduct international level competition in the country.
Challenger events will also be held in Ahmedabad
Apart from this, PSA will provide ranking points, increased cash prizes and a strong path to domestic players to excel at globally. In the second edition, a PSA Challenger 15K event in Chennai, two PSA Challenger 9K events in Jaipur and Mumbai and three PSA Challenger 6K events in New Delhi, Bangalore and Ahmedabad will be organized. Men and women will be given equal prize money in all tournaments, in which the champion will get 15,000, 9,000 and 6,000 US $ on the basis of event level. Each stage will have a knockout format of 24 players, in which the top eight seeds will get bye in the second round. The tour is open to PSA-orderly players aged 15 years and above.
Squash India Tour in Jaipur from August 4
SRFI General Secretary Cyrus Poncha said that we are very grateful to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sports Authority of India and our colleague HCL, whose support has been helpful in nurturing Indian squash talent since 2016. He said that this year the increased prize money and the opportunity for the expanded tournament will give further impetus, which will help more players to achieve performance, earn PSA points and prepare for international tournaments including Olympics. HCL Squash India Tour 2025-26 will start from 4-8 August in Jaipur, followed by Mumbai (8-12 September), Bengaluru (26-31 September), Chennai (1-5 December), Ahmedabad (27 to 31 January) and New Delhi (3-7 February).
