Pakistan’s ex -soldier Adil Raza has sensationally claimed that Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir is behind this attack. Adil Raza wrote on the social media platform x, “The highly placed sources of the Pakistani intelligence department have confirmed that the Pahalgam terrorist attack was carried out on the orders of General Asim Munir, while the entire Pakistan is unaware of this audacity.”

Initial investigation revealed that the wires of the attack were associated with Pakistan. The wife of a victim tourist said, “The terrorist was laughing after shooting my husband.” This incident shook the whole country. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bisw Sarma has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased.

Pakistan shut down airspace and trade

In view of India’s tough stance after the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan on Thursday closed its airspace and Wagah border for Indian aircraft. Along with this, all types of business with India was banned. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) with the three army chiefs and head ministers. The statement released after the meeting said that Pakistan’s sovereignty and security will be given a strong reply if there is any kind of threat.

Stress increased on Indus Water Treaty

Pakistan “rejected” the decision to suspend India’s Indus Water Treaty called it the lifeline of 24 crore Pakistanis. Pakistan has threatened that any attempt to prevent or change the water found under this treaty will be considered as war action. In response to this, Pakistan is also threatening to cancel the Shimla agreement.

India has strongly condemned the attack and demanded concrete action against terrorism from Pakistan.
