Mumbai BJP: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday announced that the BJP does not need crutches in Maharashtra. She will work on her own strength. He challenged the party workers to defeat the opposition in the upcoming local body elections in such a way that they are not visible even through binoculars. Addressing party workers after laying the foundation stone of Maharashtra BJP’s new office building near Churchgate railway station in south Mumbai, Shah said that we have proved that the politics of family-run parties will no longer work in this country. Only politics of protest will take the country forward. Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a role model for the party, Shah said that Modi ji is the best example of this. A child born in the house of an ordinary tea seller became the Prime Minister of India through his dedication, sacrifice and hard work.
BJP will also win in civic elections
Referring to the BJP’s ‘double engine’ government at the Center and the state, Shah said the party should also win the local body elections to be held later this year. He instructed the workers to work so hard that the opposition is wiped out. Shah said that BJP in Maharashtra does not run with the help of crutches but on its own strength. He said that I believe that a party which cannot maintain democracy in its functioning can never protect the democracy of the country. This is a strong message for all dynastic parties. Shah said that for BJP the party office is like a temple. He said that it is from here that the party’s programs and policies are decided and it is a practical training ground for party workers.
Credit for success given to workers
Shah said that ideology-driven politics and people’s welfare has been the identity of BJP since the days of Jan Sangh. He said that since the time BJP was formed in 1980, the country has been led by BJP leaders for 18 years and it is a matter of pride. Shah attributed the party’s success to the hard work, sacrifice and commitment of the leaders and workers. He said that BJP has become a banyan tree only because of the seeds sown by him. Shah expressed happiness over the new state BJP office spread over an area of 55,000 square feet, which includes a library, meeting rooms, conference rooms, a 400-seat auditorium and offices of the state BJP president and the chief minister. He said that the Chief Minister will remember that he has reached this post because of the party. Shah said there will be a multi-level basement for parking.
