Bihar Election 2025: Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, wife Rabri Devi and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav have received a big blow from Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. Delhi Court on Monday framed charges against Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav under Section 420, Section 120 of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act). This entire matter has been decided in a corruption case related to alleged irregularities in the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). When the court asked Lalu Yadav family whether they believe in crime, they refused. He said that we will face the case.
Will have direct impact on elections
It is being told that this decision of the court is being considered as a big blow for RJD before the Bihar Assembly elections and its direct impact can be clearly seen in the elections. There are 14 accused in this including Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav. Lalu Yadav reached the court on a wheel chair and during this time the court premises was packed. Let us tell you that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister, during the hotel allotment, land deals were done to benefit the family. Now the court has decided whether the case will proceed further against 14 accused including Lalu Yadav or not.
Will not hand over the reins of power to tainted people
Earlier, the court had directed 14 accused to appear. Now the court has completed the hearing in both the cases and has reserved the decision. Now this decision can have a direct impact on the Bihar Assembly elections in the coming times. At the same time, regarding this issue, JDU’s national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that I will not comment on the possible consequences of the court’s decision. However, one thing is certain, this case involves allegations of taking land in exchange for job. I believe that whatever may be the final decision, the people of Bihar have made up their mind that they will not hand over the reins of power to such tainted people.
Court will give strict punishment: BJP
At the same time, on the appearance of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, party leader Tejashwi Yadav and Rabri Devi in Rouse Avenue court today in the IRCTC scam case, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal said that the law will take its course. I hope the court will give him severe punishment. Let us tell you that Special Judge Vishal Gogane framed common charges of criminal conspiracy and cheating against Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav in this case. Besides, the court has also framed charges against Lalu Prasad under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
