Shri Banke Bihari Temple Trust Ordinance: Government of Uttar Pradesh, world famous Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple in Mathura (Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple) For the operation, protection and convenience of devotees, ‘Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple Trust Ordinance, 2025’ has been placed on the table of the assembly. This ordinance will pave the way for traditional worship and religious beliefs, management, security and modern form of service-facilities. Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple of Mathura (Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple) The new Trust Ordinance for the new trust ordinance, which plans to provide modern facilities to the devotees along with the protection of spiritual heritage. This step will bring significant changes in the direction of further improvement of temple management, safety and the experience of devotees by becoming a symbol of tradition and modernity.

Trustee board structure
The Trust will be run by an 18 -member trustee board. It will have 11 nominees, including 3 from Vaishnav traditions, 3 from other Sanatan traditions, 3 prestigious persons from different regions, 2 from Goswami tradition (from Raj-Bhog and Sleeping Savayat). Apart from this, there will be 7 ex -officio members, including District Magistrate Mathura, Senior Superintendent of Police, CEO of Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad, an officer of Charitable Affairs Department, CEO of Shri Banke Bihari Temple Trust and a member named by the State Government. The tenure of the nominee trustees will be 3 years, the regeneration will be maximum twice. All the members of the trustee board will be believed to be Hindu and Sanatan Dharma.

Permission for purchase and sale of assets up to Rs 20 lakh, acceptance of the state government is mandatory

The state government will not interfere
There will be no interference in the religious and cultural traditions of the temple. This thing has been made clear in the ordinance. All religious aspects will be honored according to Article 19 (1) (a), 19 (1) (6), 25 and 26 of the Constitution. The objective of the state government is to ensure only financial transparency and accountable use of resources, not to take any right over temple assets.
