Getting a major success against drug trafficking, the Indian Coast Guard seized more than 300 kg of intoxicating substance (methamfetamine) worth about Rs 1,800 crore in an overnight joint operation with the Gujarat Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Based on the information received from the Gujarat ATS, an ICG ship from the Coast Guard area (West), which was posted at a multi-mission in North Maharashtra/South Gujarat region, stopped a transmission effort near the international maritime border line. The suspected boat threw his drug consignment into the sea before running towards IMBL when I was realized by the ICG ship coming near.
Porbandar brought for investigation of seized narcotics
The vigilant ICG ship immediately sent its sea boat to recover the consignment thrown while chasing the suspected boat. Due to crossing the border, the chase could not be followed much further and the ICG ship could not catch the suspected boat. Meanwhile, the ICG team recovered a large amount of drugs thrown into the sea. The seized narcotics have been brought to Porbandar by ICG ship for further investigation.

On the other hand, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah appreciated the ATS and Indian Coast Guard for this big success. Amit Shah has said that the Modi government is completely eliminating the drug network. In a post on his ‘X’ platform, the Union Home Minister said that in a constant effort to build a duggram India, a major achievement has been achieved by seizing 300 kg of drugs worth 1800 crore near the International Marine Border. This operation in the sea is a great example of the success of the Modi government to eliminate the evil of drugs. Shah appreciated the ATS and Indian Coast Guard of the Gujarat Police for this big success.
