Bareilly Violence: The situation has not been completely normal after violence in Bareilly. The SP delegation under the leadership of Mata Prasad Pandey, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, stopped the SP delegation from going to Bareilly.
Bareilly Violence : After the controversy over I Love Muhammad Post last week in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party (SP) delegation led by Mata Prasad Pandey in the UP Assembly stopped the Delegation of Samajwadi Party (SP). The police cited that the matter became sensitive after the violence last week. Meanwhile, the district administration on Saturday launched a demolition campaign against alleged illegal construction in many areas. Unauthorized shops and houses were dropped. Officials in Bareilly also demolished the banquet hall owned by a person arrested in connection with the violence.
Illegal property is broken, not made a mark to the person
The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) said that the part of the Raza Palace that collapsed was prepared by violating the rules. It is being told that this Raza Palace belonged to Dr. Nafees, who is also considered a close associate of Maulvi Raza Khan and has already been arrested and sent to jail in connection with the recent clashes related to the I Love Muhammad campaign. Officials claimed that demolition has been done under the rules and no one has been targeted by personal targets. The alleged encroachment of 15 shops in the tourist areas of the city was removed by the Bareilly Municipal Corporation on Saturday. The protesters who were protesting against the FIR lodged on I Love Muhammad posters had a clash with the police after Friday prayers. Police say that the protesters were not allowed to perform, but even after this, this work was carried out.
Leader of Opposition accused the government
Explain that the police had registered 10 FIRs in connection with the violence of 26 September and have registered a case against hundreds of people, mostly unknown. Apart from this, 70 people including Maulvi Tauqir Raza Khan, his colleagues and some relatives have been arrested. JPS Rathore, a minister in the UP government, said that the general situation in Bareilly has been restored. He further said that the situation has become normal for the time being. Markets are open, traffic is normal and police are monitoring with full vigilance. The administration says that the situation will be completely calm in the coming days. Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey said that a delegation of 14 SPs and MLAs of SP was stopped from going to Bareilly. He alleged that police have been deployed at all SP workers’ houses. Also, he has received two letters in which one from the police and the other from Bareilly District Magistrate. It states that the SP delegation is going to spoil the atmosphere of the city.
