Pawan Singh Fraud Case: Bhojpuri actor-singer Pawan Singh is caught in a fraud case. The difficulties of the actor have increased. Now they have to go round the court to prove themselves innocent. A case has been filed against the actor in Varanasi. Pawan Singh is accused of cheating crores in the name of investment in the film. This case has been filed by a businessman of Varanasi. The actor had shown a dream of a lot of benefits to the businessman in the film in the name of his popularity, but the businessman did not get a single penny in the profit after the release of the film. An FIR has been lodged here on charges of fraud and other crimes against Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh and three others. The police gave this information on Thursday.
Invested in Bhojpuri film ‘Boss’
Cantonment Station House Officer (SHO) Shivakant Mishra said that a case was registered after the court order on Wednesday. Advocate Ashish Singh, who appeared on behalf of Varanasi businessman Vishal Singh, said that his client was allegedly cheated in the name of investment in the Bhojpuri film “Boss” released in 2018. According to the complaint, Vishal Singh met film director Prem Shankar Rai in Mumbai in 2017. After this, he was introduced to many people including Pawan Singh in connection with making a film. The complainant was persuaded to invest in the project with the promise of allegedly sharing benefits. On getting assurance of 50 percent profit, Vishal Singh invested about Rs 32.60 lakh from himself and his brother’s firm through various accounts.
Businessman did not get part of profit
Later in July 2018, he was declared the co-producer of the film and invested an additional Rs 1.25 crore. These things have been mentioned in the complaint. However, after the release of the film, the businessman was neither given part of the profit nor his money was returned. The complainant alleged that when he asked for his dues, Pawan Singh allegedly threatened him to suffer serious consequences. The complainant’s counsel claimed. The businessman contacted the Cantonment Police and Police Commissioner with the complaint, but no action was taken, after which he moved to the court. Pawan Singh is a well-known actor and singer of Bhojpuri world. He has millions of fans.
