Why the eligibility of admission was canceled?

The biggest reason for cancellation of the eligibility of admission is a dispute between the US government and Harvard University about the record of foreign students. In this episode, the Homeland Security Department (DHS) had directed Harvard to give records related to illegal and criminal activities of foreign students by 30 April. The university handed over the records, but the Trump administration could not be satisfied with it. For this reason, it has now been decided to cancel the university’s SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) certification.

The US Homeland Security Department (DHS) operates the SEVP program, which is very important for universities to give visas to foreign students. If this certification is canceled, then Harvard University will neither be able to enroll foreign students nor issue a visa for them.
